Winter Concert Series Schedule Update: Due to separate unforeseen circumstances both “The Cornell Trio” and “Brandon and Chrysta Beene” contacted us yesterday to inform us that they will have to cancel their concerts at our church on February 14th and February 21st respectively. At this time we have no plans to fill these dates. We will have an extended “Hymn Sing” time this Thursday on February 14th beginning at 6:30 PM in light of the short notice of these changes to the schedule. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you help us spread the word regarding these sudden changes.

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.” - Luke 1:30-33 Christmas isn’t just a story to be celebrated once a year, it is the fulfillment of ancient promises and the beginning of an eternal kingdom.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6 No other child born into this world came holding titles as magnificent and glorious as these. Jesus is truly Immanuel, God with us.
“‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me?’ says the Lord. ‘Or where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things?’” - Acts 7:49-50 The glory of God cannot be contained in any physical dwelling, for His glory is the splendor of His infinite greatness which is continually expressed to us through His amazing grace in Christ.
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:12 Jesus, and Jesus alone can save us from sin and death through His atoning sacrifice and resurrection.
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” - Acts 2:36 This is the gospel … the good news that Jesus, and Jesus alone, is the Master and Authority over all, and that Jesus, and Jesus alone, is the Anointed One - the Savior of the world.
“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.” - Acts 1:14 The primary characteristic that marked the lives and fellowship of believers throughout the book of Acts was prayer … is it likewise the devotion of our lives and fellowship?

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men." -Matthew 5:13 Your "saltiness" to others will be directly correlated with your walk with the Lord … not your activities, not your gift set, not your role in any church, but the closeness of your daily walk with the Lord.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." -Matthew 5:9 True and complete peace is impossible apart from Christ, thus if we are too be peacemakers we must first be gospel-bringers.
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." -Matthew 5:6 The righteousness of the Lord can’t just be an appetizer to start our day or a desert to top off our week … it must be the foundational main course of our lives.
